Wild and Scenic Rivers ManagementInteragency 2(a)(ii) Wild and Scenic Rivers Workshop:Evaluating Water Resources ProjectsNovember 3-4, 2020In light of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, dates for this workshop have moved from the original April 28-29 timing. We will strive to offer a safe meeting space, and encourage you to bring your own personal hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, etc. The World Health Organization released this video discussing preventive measures and how best to prepare once travel restrictions improve. It offers a great deal of practical information. The first day will be in the classroom, and the second day will be spent in the field visiting examples of water resource projects and resulting determinations. As pre-work, we suggest that you review several technical reports prepared by the Interagency Wild and Scenic Rivers Coordinating Council (IWSRCC). If you are not already familiar with the IWSRCC, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with their website, www. rivers.gov. At rivers.gov, please review the following technical reports: We encourage you to find a few minutes to take the 7-question pre-test. The test is for your information only and provided to help you focus your time with pre-work materials. An answer key is provided so you may score your effort.
