Training and Events

RMS  serves the river management profession by providing opportunities for river managers and other river professionals to meet, learn from one another and initiate valuable professional networks and lasting friendships. Besides publishing our quarterly RMS Journal and special publications, supporting river management-related projects, and providing value to members via biweekly and monthly electronic communication, the organization hosts, coordinates, and/or sponsors international biennial symposia, virtual and in-person workshops and webinars, annual River Ranger Rendezvous hosted by the Southwest or Northwest Chapters (at least until another chapter steps in to take a turn!), and chapter meetings, which often occur on and near rivers.
