Sponsored by River Management Society - for Those Who Use Our River Resources.
The mission of the River Manangement Society (RMS) is to assist river professionals in their efforts to provide for the health of river ecosystems for today and tomorrow. As a society of professionals, we are commited to achieving excellence in the management of North America's rivers, utilizing science, knowledge, experience and public values to develop sound decisions that will protect and preserve the quality and importance of river environments. Our diverse membership includes federal, state and local agency employees, educators, researchers, consultants and organizations and citizens from the private sector. There are seven regional chapters in the United States, as well as a Canadian chapter organized as the Canadian River Management Society (CRMS). Each chapter holds meetings and regional field trips to share and discuss river management issues on a local level and build lasting partnerships. RMS is a 501(c)(3) organization; all contributions and membership dues are tax-deductible.
