RMS Journal
The RMS journal is a quarterly publication that features one of our seven regional chapters on a rotating schedule, and reports timely river news that is provided by our membership at large. All RMS members receive a copy of this publication as a membership benefit.

Journal Submissions
Unformatted text copy may be sent within the body of an email message to rms@river-management.org. Submissions may also be in Word as an attached file to an email message. If you submit photos to accompany an article, please send the actual photo or slide to RMS, PO Box 9048, Missoula MT 59807. All materials will be returned upon request. Digital photos (ideally shot at your camera's highest resolution, and not cropped or resized from the original file) can be emailed to rms@river-management.org. Please include a photo caption and credit for each photo submitted.

Articles are not edited for content and may not reflect the position, endorsement, or mission of RMS. The purpose of this policy is to encourage the free exchange of ideas concerning river management issues in an open forum of communication and networking among the RMS membership. Unless indicated, points of view are those of the author and not those of RMS, its Board or members.

Allocating River Use
This report summarizes information about allocating use on North American rivers. The goal is to review allocation systems and public responses to them. The report describes the advantages and disadvantages of different choices in different settings, providing river professionals with the tools to assess and develop their allocation options.
