INTERAGENCY RIVER MANAGEMENT
WORKSHOP
Every other year, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Forest Service (FS),
National Park Service (NPS) and Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) take turns
hosting an Interagency River Management Workshop. The Forest Service hosted
the 2007 workshop in Missoula, MT and the 2009 workshop was hosted by the
National Park Service in Yosemite, CA.
These workshops are open to everyone (not just agency personnel) and are designed
to be interactive and address timely river management topics. They also provide
great networking, problem-solving and training opportunities for those involved
with rivers. The River Management Society is a proud co-sponsor of the Interagency
Workshops.
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will host the 2011 workshop in Alaska. Plans are underway!
